Young Chef Wendy Lo: 2017 #Chefsatplay Winner

A rising star from City of Glasgow College recently scooped Coup de pates’ Chefs at Play title, innovating her way to glory during a tense four-way cook-off held at the high-end foodservice supplier’s London HQ.

Wendy Lo, 23, a student chef and protégée of ‘Masterchef: The Professionals’ winner, and City of Glasgow College chef lecturer, Gary MacLean, wowed judges with her stunning take on the competition brief ‘A Taste of Spring’ – a sweet Coup de pates tartelette case, filled with honey blossom mousse, topped with elderflower and strawberry jelly and lemon curd, garnished with fresh strawberries, blueberries and pistachio nuts.

Wendy’s show stopping on-the-go patisserie item was then recreated by Coup de pates team of development chefs, alongside herself for sale at this year’s Taste of London Festival in June.
